Throughout our lives we are exposed to heavy metals like mercury, cadmium, and aluminum, among others, which are able to imbed themselves into our our central nervous systems and bones, bio-accumulating for years until we start to suffer acute health problems from heavy metal poisoning.
Heavy metal toxicity may damage:
- central nervous system
- cardiovascular system
- gastrointestinal system
- lungs
- kidneys
- liver
- endocrine glands
- bones
Cilantro and Chlorella
Chelating agents are those that bind to heavy metal toxin ions, and then are removed from the body through our regular excretory channels.
Why use both?
Cilantro is such a powerful heavy metal "detoxer" that it may mobilize more toxins then it can carry out of our body, Chlorella can prevent retoxification, as an intestinal absorbing agent.
The right dosage is key!
To prevent awful detox symptoms start with two 2 drops of Cilantro from Herb Pharmacy and 1/2 tsp Chlorella Powder or 2 tablets, and gradually increase the dosage.
Take more of the Chlorella if detox symptoms arise and/or are too strong.
Acute metal toxicity is a lot easier to diagnose than that of chronic exposure.
Indications of acute toxicity may include:
- Sudden, severe cramping and/or convulsions
- Nausea
- Vomiting
- Sweating
- Headache
- Difficulty breathing
- Impaired cognitive, motor and language skills
Symptoms of toxic build-up due to chronic toxic metal exposure, however, are much more subtle, in large part because these symptoms are so “common,” and may include:
- Fatigue
- Digestive distress, and reduced ability to properly assimilate and utilize fats
- Aching joints
- Depression
- Impaired blood sugar regulation
- Female reproductive problems such as menstrual difficulties, infertility, miscarriage, pre-eclampsia, pregnancy-induced hypertension and premature birth
Possible Risk Factors for Toxic Metal Exposure:
- Lead-containing plumbing
- Foods grown in lead-rich soil
- Eating fish or shellfish contaminated with methylmercury (includes shark, swordfish, king mackerel, tile fish, bass, walleye, pickerel)
- Breathing contaminated workplace air or skin contact during use in the workplace
- Release of mercury vapor from dental amalgam fillings
- Tobacco smoke
- Eating foods containing cadmium (levels are highest in grains, legumes, and leafy vegetables (switch up your greens!), fish and shellfish)
- Contact with cadmium from household products (electric batteries and solar panels)
