Homemade All-Natural Lip Balm
Did you know that making your own Lip Balm can be super easy and fun?
Here are two recipes for you. They are infused with Essential Oil for a lovely smell and some extra skin nourishment.
Natural Lip Balm
2.5 Tbsp Coconut Oil
1.5 Tbsp Beeswax
10 drop Young Living Essential Oil (Choose 1 - Lavender, Peppermint, Citrus Fresh, or Cinnamon Bark/Peppermint)
10 empty Lip Balm Containers
Combine coconut oil and beeswax in a double boiler or a pot placed on a pot of simmering water until beeswax melts.
Remove from heat. Add your choice of essential oils. Quickly pour into measuring cup and pour into lip balm containers from measuring cup.
Work quickly as coconut oil hardens quickly.
Chocolate Peppermint Lip Balm
2 Tbsp coconut oil
1 Tbsp cacao butter (This is a hard butter, that really nourishes the lips)
1 Tbsp sweet almond oil
2 Tbsp beeswax
12 drops Young Living Peppermint Essential Oil
12 lip balm tubes
Gently melt the cocoa butter, coconut oil, sweet almond oil and beeswax in a double boiler or a glass bowl set on top of a pot of simmering water.
Remove from heat. Stir in Peppermint essential oil.
Quickly pour into measuring cup and pour into lip balm containers from measuring cup.
